Summer is hands down my favorite season in the year.
And when it comes to revamping my wardrobe for the warmer months, it doesn’t need to cost an arm and a leg to do so. After all, hopefully you’ll be spending 90% of your days in a wet swimsuit and hair tossed up in a topknot. For summer style, I prefer to keep my style pretty minimal with an easy one piece, white button up shirt as a cover up and a few accessories. Below you will find my favorite picks that are each below $100 that will add a bit of refresh to your wardrobe this summer.
Here is my white swimsuit cover up (in the above photo).
Monika Flat Sandal, Beaded Tote Bag, One Piece Black Swimsuit, Striped Bikini, L*Space Bucket Hat, Green Woven Bag, White Button Up Shirt, Seashell Earrings
A few friends and our daughters are hopping down to Sayulita in a week and I’ve got a bit of a shopping sprees happening.
I love shopping for resort. If you’ve seen something lately that you love, please leave a tip in the comments!

My first ever trip to Japan was a total whirlwind that was filled with a packed itinerary, lots of laughs and such an amazing experience.
My mind and heart are still fluttering over the quick 9 day trip! I could have used more time, but I still feel like we covered so much with the time we had.
Below you will find a full break down of each day and what we did, where we ate, and where we shopped.
For a full breakdown of everything I packed and wore, head over to this post from my Basic substack newsletter.
Masa Ishibashi – Thanks to jet-lag, we nearly fell asleep at the table but it was a great first night spot. It’s a great area to walk around before dinner and shop hop. We popped in Dover Street and had a pre-dinner cocktail at Ginza which was a super hip record playing bar. Most restaurants and bars are up in office buildings so expect that.
This outfit feels very much like “me.”
I’m in New York (in the photo), wearing all black at a stylish bar feeling comfortable, yet stylish and very much in my own skin.
I think the key elements to what I like to wear out include something a bit naughty as a base layer, along with a few layers on top that vary in texture and fabric. This adds depth, interest, and comfortability. With very little to no make-up, minimal jewelry and easy to wear pieces, I think it’s important to feel comfortable yet stylish when you’re bouncing out and about at night.
Below are a few more key favorites for after hours.
What I’m Wearing: Doen Nandi Skirt, La Ligne Marin Sweater, Savette Bag, Manolo Blahnik Boots, Skims Boyshorts, Vintage The Row Coat
